“I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality,” Witherspoon said. “You’re not as intimidated by it, not as embarrassed by it. Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin.”

But while she embraces her sex appeal, Witherspoon has also held on tight to her funny side. “There’s always going to be somebody younger or sexier,” she told Glamour. “That’s why I like to say, and it’s become my famous line, ‘Funny doesn’t sag.’”
Reese Witherspoon's most memorable style moments
The actress, who has starred in 25 films and produced five – not to mention nabbing an Oscar for “Walk the Line” in 2006 – says she’s well aware that a career isn’t everything. She took a two-year break from acting after divorcing the father of her two children, fellow actor Ryan Philippe, and is open to growing her family.
“I would love to have more kids,” she told Glamour. “Kids are the best part of my day. I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family.”
Her current beau is Hollywood agent Jim Toth. “Every relationship has its own dynamic. And I don’t want to disparage any of the other relationships that I’ve had that were meaningful and wonderful. But what I’m finding out is that it’s very comfortable to be with somebody who understands my career, but doesn’t do what I do. He’s a great guy. He’s wonderful.”
Along with coming into her own, Witherspoon is looking to expand her reach, and has paired with Avon to address the global crisis of violence against women.
“My ambition has sort of broadened. I’m more interested in literature, art, public policy. And I’m really interested in doing more philanthropic endeavors.”
But in her downtime, the “Legally Blond” star still has a soft spot for romantic comedies. “I watch them all the time. I love all my fellow female romantic comedy queens, like Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner and Katie Heigl. I also think that the questions romantic comedies ask about men and women are universal
