Flight would make emergency landing in Oakland, Calif

Maintenance crews will inspect a Southwest Airlines jet that made an emergency landing at Oakland global Airport once the pilot acquired warning of an powerplant fire.

Southwest Airlines spokesman Brad Hawkins mentioned the Los Angeles-bound airline flight landed safely in Oakland mins quickly after getting away from San Francisco global Airport near to 9 p.m. Friday.

As the plane was ascending, a warning siren indicated there is a fire in between the plane's engines. Hawkins mentioned the pilot shut the powerplant straight down and diverted to Oakland.

None in the 108 guests and 5 team people aboard was injured. The guests have been place on one more airline flight and arrived in Los Angeles preceding to midnight.
