About Philadelphia Airport Delays

This is the conga line vector tape from Chicago ATC. A controller was working aircraft landing at Midway airport. This is a description of the incident by the controller on the tape. “Working 13C @ Midway airport, strong winds out of the southwest were blowing the arrivals north. This took place while delay vectoring a string of aircraft to the airport. While giving a relief briefing to another controller, AAL311 starts giving the pre-landing speech to the cabin and crew on the ATC frequency. Hearing his comments about waiting in line, I started up with the conga line musing and was issuing control vectors to be funny, rather than tell him he was on frequency. All other aircraft on frequency heard this as well, which lead to laughing replies to instructions.”
