Weekend Sleuth:
Thoughts from the Trading Floor
By Jonas Elmerraji
November 20, 2010

I spent much of the last week in Las Vegas, hitting up two trading conferences to get a feel for what daytraders are feeling about the market right now, and to see what new products are hitting the market for investors interested in taking a more active trading role.

So, what’s the scuttlebutt on the market from a trader’s perspective?

Right now, it looks like investor anxiety is still playing a big role in the market. People are still hesitant to add extra risk to their portfolios by making convicted bets in either direction. As a result, it’s a particularly difficult time to be a trader. Even so, the smart money is betting that we’ll see a sustained direction take shape after the Thanksgiving holiday this coming week.

With only three trading days until that then, we should see a more defined market direction shortly.

Meanwhile, I’ve got some exciting news for penny stock investors looking to take advantage of market volatility with technical trades. You see, for the last several months, I’ve been BETA testing a brand-new trading service called Penny Momentum Trader to a small number of readers. On Monday, I finally release my strategy to the public.

I’ll provide more details on Monday. Suffice it to say you’ll want to stay tuned…
