Sexiest Man Alive 2010: Ryan Reynolds Changing Looks

This year’s Sexiest Man Alive Ryan Reynolds loves to keep them laughing.

“My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke,” says the 6’2″ actor, who suits up as the Green Lantern next year. “When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper.”

We doubt that. From growing up the youngest of four brothers in Canada to being the funny guy in films like The Proposal, Reynolds has learned to take everything in stride. “You just have to go with the flow,” he says of his new title. “This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life.
The actor does expect a few new perks at home with his wife of two years, Scarlett Johansson. “Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better,” Reynolds says. “The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”

When us ladies think of the sexiest man alive, we might think along the lines of Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp or Leonardo DiCaprio (or in my case, “Smallville” star Tom Welling), but not necessarily Ryan Reynolds. However, there are obviously people who do think so, as he’s just been given the 2010 title.

According to Jessica Derschowitz over at cbsnews.com, the Canadian actor – who has been in movies such as “Just Friends,” “Definitely, Maybe” and the upcoming “Green Lantern” – was recently named as 2010’s Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine, and will be featured on the cover of their annual issue.

When speaking to People about his new title, Reynolds said: “well, there was a little moment of disbelief, and then you kind of settle into it.” Reynolds then went on to say that his new role might even score him a few perks at home, with his actress wife Scarlett Johansson.

However, it looks like Scarlett has a new title of her own, as she was recently names as GQ Magazine’s Babe of the Year, and features on the cover of the December issue. Do you think Ryan should have won Sexiest Man Alive 2010, or should the title have been given to someone else?
