WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Nearly 59 million Americans went without health insurance coverage for at least part of 2010, many of them with conditions or diseases that needed treatment, federal health officials said on Tuesday.

U.S. unveils larger tobacco warnings with images

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Health officials issued a proposal on Wednesday for larger tobacco warning labels, including "graphic health warnings" depicting the effects of smoking, to be required on all cigarette packages in 2012.

PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) - A cholera epidemic that has killed nearly 600 people in Haiti has gained a foothold in earthquake-ravaged Port-au-Prince and is expected to spread widely and quickly in the sprawling city of 3 million people, health authorities said on Tuesday.
