Japanese media said the North Korean light water reactor at Yongbyon

United States, Kyodo news agency on Saturday quoted the former head of Los Alamos National Laboratory, who the heck (Siegfried Hecker) as saying that North Korea is building a test Yongbyon reactor using light water.


Reported recently the heck had just visited North Korea in Beijing, told reporters that he was informed that North Korea 2.5-3 million kilowatts in the construction of this reactor.


He said the beginning of the reactor building, take several years to complete.


North Korea has been trying to have a light-water reactor, saying the project will be used for peaceful purposes.


Analysts on the Korean light water reactor that can self-doubt, because some of the key components needed for the building only the United States and other countries with advanced nuclear technology can provide. (End)
