Greece to accept huge loans first international


Greece on Tuesday (May 18) received the first international large loan amount to help solve the financial crisis in Athens.

Ryan said EU Monetary Affairs Commissioner, European Union and the International Monetary Fund to 25 billion U.S. dollars remitted to the Greek government's account.

Ryan on the Greek and the other EU countries in crisis countries, Spain and Portugal welcomed the austerity measures taken.

Greek austerity policies, including cuts in public sector salaries and a freeze on pensions, triggered massive protests in the country.

In addition, EU officials said the euro, despite the euro against the dollar fell to its lowest point since 2006, but the euro as the single European currency is still reliable.
