Index futures edge higher as commodities rise

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures edged higher on Tuesday as the euro erased early losses against the dollar and commodity prices rose, with stocks looking to resume their climb to new two-year highs.

Chevron to enter Marcellus with Atlas buy

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Chevron Corp will buy U.S. natural gas producer Atlas Energy for $4.3 billion, including debt, giving the oil giant a key stake in the fast-growing Marcellus shale fields.

SEOUL (Reuters) - China kept up a drumbeat of criticism of U.S. easy money policies on Tuesday, warning two days before a G20 world economic summit that Washington could destabilize the global economy and inflate asset bubbles.

Gold hits record high on euro zone debt fears

LONDON (Reuters) - Gold surged to a record high for the fourth day running on Tuesday, fueled by renewed concern over high sovereign debt in euro zone countries such as Ireland and Greece and inflationary pressures.
